Strange Dachshund Day

It was a strange day yesterday. It started of with Odie marking his territory on top of cat poop — cat poop that our absent minded cat left on the carpet in the library area.
Usually, one of the Dachshunds will eat the evidence surely protecting the evil cat, but this time the sound of streaming pee caught my attention and Odie in the act.
It wasn’t so bad that I had to clean up the cat’s mess, it’s just that Odie is housebroken and he just doesn’t do that anymore. Sure, he has his problem and gets excited and wets the floor, but never intentionally. Thank goodness for urinegone!
Molly on the other hand still leaves presents for us. We came back from church to that oh too familiar smell of “Molly’s been a bad Dachshund again†only to smell it but not find it.
We only had a few minutes to let the dogs out to potty — which of course Molly did not have to go — before we up to Carpinteria to see my mother for the afternoon.
We got back later that night with juicy BBQ spareribs from Wood Ranch BBQ. Molly’s unpleasant smell still was persistent around the dinner table.
I crawled on my hands and knees under the table to see if she hid her present behind a table or chair leg only to find it eye to eye on top of the chair.
